I was surprised that there was so much feedback from my aquarium posts on Facebook and You-tube.
I feel very humble and I believe there are many people who have a more beautiful tank than me.
I received a lot of messages and questions about the system and lighting, and also supplementing.
I cannot answer very well because I speak Japanese and the questions are in English. So I would like to write down some of the answers to questions about the supplements that I use. It easy for me to answer these questions, by using this article below.

I am a not professional, so I don’t know exactly how the chemicals work. So this method is just my own way, for my tank and it may not be correct for your tank. But I’m happy if this article can be of help or assistance to you. There are many different ways to supplement, because all tanks have different conditions.
I use Red Sea salt and Red Sea’s supplements. The salt is normal Red Sea salt.
I use RO water and mix salt using small pump and aheater to match the water temperature to the tank temperature. I leave the mixed salt water one day before adding to the tank.
The amount of water change I use is 11 to 22 Liters every day depending on coral condition and water condition. Of course some days I miss a water change.
I add RO water to the tank to replace the water evaporated, before I do a water change. During water change I remove the water from sump and add new water back to the sump slowly.
I add a fixed amount: 1ml of NO3-PO4X to the sump. This is just my own method.
Next I add 30g of Reef Foundation C Powder slowly to an area with strong water current in the sump. Maybe some people may be surprised that the amount is so large.
After10 min, I add 15g of Reef Foundation B Powder slowly to an area with strong water current in the sump. I don’t use calcium reactor.
And after another 10 min, I add 10g of Reef Foundation A Powder slowly to an area with strong water current in the sump. Also because I don’t use a Ca reactor.
I add Reef energy A and B (10ml of each) together to strong water current directly in TANK slowly. I am careful not to overdose.
Afterthen I add Coral Color ABCD (1.5ml of each) with syringe that is included to the sump in an area of strong water current.
This is about my supplementing method, but I advise you should check water parameter with RCP test kits and calculate the supplement amount needed before adding.
The above method was developed for my tank over two years. Therefore please don’t add same amount to your tank, please work out your own dosages over time. I believe each person can find the correct dose of supplements for their own tank.

Below is a picture of all supplements that I use.
There are many supplements on the market today and I don’t know which are best in general. I know there are many people who can maintain good reef tank without supplements. However I am doing regular water change and in addition, I feel it a necessity to supplement partly because I don’t use a Ca reactor.

You can find more details how to use RCP test and supplement.
It’sdifficult for me to explain all the detail in this article.
